- Dropping during the First Drop phase of the game results in 20 penalty points.
- 40 penalty points are awarded for dropping in the middle of the game (Middle Drop) before someone declares or makes a show.
- If your card is not melded before a player declares (makes a show), you will receive a Full Count, which carries a maximum penalty point total of 80.
- It is punishable to leave a game before it is finished by:

The other players must determine their scores using their cards—which are not in any particular order—after one player makes a valid declaration.
- K, Q, J, A = 10 points
- 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 = Same as card value
- Jokers = 0 points
- Therefore, 20 points would be awarded to a player holding the following cards: K, 3, Joker, and 7.
